About Me!

         My goal for this blog is to educate and inspire the readers about how broad and prosperous the world of music is.  This blog covers a wide range of topics in music such as interviews from different musicians, different types of jobs, innovations in music, and much more!

         My name is Trey Burke and I am currently a clarinet performance major in the School of Music at Michigan State University.  I was introduce to music when I was four years old when I started taking piano lessons.  Soon after, in 5th grade I started playing clarinet and I have enjoyed it ever since.  Music is and always will be my greatest passion.  I have played in multiple orchestras, wind symphonies, chamber groups, and performed solo works as well.  Right now I am still unaware what specific career I want to pursue in music because my instrument, in particular, can take me down a variety of different roads.  I could end up on Broadway, Symphony Orchestra, Soundtrack Orchestra, Clarinet Professor, etc. I hope to do most of the things I mentioned at some point of my life but in the end my overall goal is to inspire and educate young musicians in order to help them become great musicians as well.
